Vision
I share Plano ISD's vision for every student to proactively adapt to new learning opportunities throughout their lives, collaborate with and contribute to the global community, and be both creative and disciplined in their thinking.

Actions
This vision translates into actions that:

• Prepare students for success in life within a global economy,
• Create multiple pathways for all students to be successful,
• Recruit and retain the most highly qualified teachers, and
• Partner with parents and the community.

Commitment
Over the next three years I look forward to ...

• influencing the design of a new statewide accountability system that recognizes student growth and measures 21st century skills,
• promoting the design of a new school finance system that eliminates the Robin Hood component, and
• leading grassroots community conversations about schools being more accountable to the local community than to the government.
